NATIONAL TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION DAY

Performances by four Indigenous dancers, traditional and contemporary with some story telling and educational elements. There will be a video performance and presentation from The Downie Wenjack Fund.

On this day we honour the resilience, dignity and strength of survivors and intergenerational survivors of Canada’s residential schools and remember the children who never came home by exploring the rich and diverse cultures, voices, experiences and histories of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Our community has partnered with performers from the Moose Cree First Nation, Ermineskin Cree Nation and the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund to provide programming that moves reconciliation forward in a meaningful way. We invite you to join us in this ReconciliACTION.
